Welcome to William Carmichael Elementary School. As a former Carmichael teacher, I feel very honored to be the principal of such a wonderful school. We have a very professional, dedicated staff and wonderful students. I am looking forward to a terrific year. 

Carmichael’s motto, "Family, Unidos -we are family, united in support of one another", expresses the care and love that we have for our students and each other. Our mission is to establish a safe, friendly, nurturing place where students, staff and parents challenge each other to learn, share and care. We appreciate our differences, respect them and celebrate them. Our participation in the cultural exchange program, Hands Across the Border, is just one activity to build appreciation for diversity and ethnic pride.

I encourage parents to get involved in your child’s school in any way you can. Research shows how important parent involvement is to a student’s success in school. Please read to your young children every day for fifteen or twenty minutes. Also, please consider joining our PTSO or volunteering in your child’s classroom. You are an important part of the educational team! Please let us know if we can help you or assist you in any way. Our goal is to provide the best possible educational opportunities for our students, develop life-long learners and prepare them to be successful citizens in a changing world.
