Dr. Rodney Egan Principal

Welcome to William Carmichael Elementary School, a school rich in history and proud traditions. I feel very honored to be the principal of such a successful learning environment. We have a very professional, dedicated staff and wonderful students. We are all looking forward to a year of educational excellence and cherished memories.

Carmichael’s motto, "Family- Unidos" means we are family. We are united in support of one another by expressing the care and love that we have for our students and each other.

Our mission is to establish a safe, friendly, nurturing place where students, staff and parents challenge each other to reach our highest potential. We are all life long learners. We appreciate our differences, respect them and celebrate them. Our past participation in the cultural exchange program, Hands Across the Border, is just one activity which builds an appreciation for diversity.

We highly encourage parents be an active member of our educational team. Research shows how important parent involvement is to a student’s success in school. Please read to your young children every day for fifteen or twenty minutes. Also, please consider joining our PTSO and/or volunteering in your child’s classroom. You are an important part of the educational team! Please let us know if we can assist you in any way.

Our goal is to provide the best possible educational opportunities for our students, develop life-long learners and prepare them to be successful citizens in the community, in the nation and in our changing world.

Please come and visit our fabulous school.

Dr. Egan
